Hybrid4 Diesel-Electric Technology

Many technological innovations aimed at cutting fuel consumption and exhaust emissions are being introduced by Peugeot according to specific market requirements, all aimed at protecting the environment. In fact, Peugeot is currently the European leader for low-consumption and low-CO2 emission vehicles.

By launching the world’s first full diesel Hybrid vehicle, the 3008 HYbrid4, Peugeot will create a new type of vehicle in terms of freedom of use and driving enjoyment. It combines the 120kW 2.0 HDi turbo diesel engine which powers the front wheels with a 27kW electric motor which powers the rear wheels.

With the 3008 HYbrid4 SUV, the environmentally-friendly combination of diesel and electric power also paves the way for:

- 4 wheel drive,
- a maximum power of 147kW,
- ZEV mode (Zero Emission Vehicle),
- 3.8 l/100 km fuel consumption
- 99 g/km of CO2 emissions

The 3008 HYbrid4 will be produced in France and marketed in 2011 in Europe and is currently under consideration for sale in Australia.
